  1. Take 400 gms chicken
  2. Make ready 1 onion paste
  3. Get 1 tbsp ginger paste
  4. Get 1 tbsp garlic paste
  5. Take 1/2 cup Curd
  6. Get 1 tbsp roasted gram flour
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp poppy seed paste
  8. Prepare 1 tbsp khowa
  9. Prepare 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  10. Get 2 tbsp ghee
  11. Make ready 2 tbsp refined oil
  12. Prepare To taste salt and pinch of sugar
  13. Make ready 4-5 green chilli paste
  14. Get 1 tbsp biryani masala
  15. Make ready 5-6 slit green chillies
  16. Get Few strands of saffron soaked in warm milk
  17. Get 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  18. Get 2 drops mitha attar or 1 tbsp kewra water
  19. Get 7-8 cashewnuts paste
  20. Take 3-4 green cardamom
  21. Make ready 5 laung
  22. Get 1 small stick cinnamon

Instructions to make Chicken Chaap:
  1. Marinate chicken chunks with salt, yoghurt,green chilli paste,onion and ginger garlic paste for 5-6 hours or preferably overnight.
  2. Heat oil and ghee and fry chicken pieces after shaking off marinade.Sprinkle half crushed cardamom,cinnamon and laung.When they splutter, add rest of the marinade,poppy seed and cashewnut paste,kashmiri red chilli powder,biryani masala and little water.Cook on low flame till done.Sprinkle little roasted gramflour, mitha attar and saffron soaked in milk.Add some khoya.Garnish with chopped coriander and few red and green chillies.Serve with mutton biryani,naan or tandoori roti.
