The ingredients needed to make Blood Ball (Red Velvet Cheese Ball):
  1. Take 8 oz Cream Cheese
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup Room temperature butter
  3. Get 1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix(will be using approximately HALF or 1 1/2 Cups)
  4. Make ready 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  5. Take 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  6. Take 1/2 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  7. Take 1 packages Cookies or Graham Crackers (Vanilla Wafers are awesome!)
  8. Make ready 1 Red food coloring (Optional for blood splatters)
  9. Make ready 1 Fake Eyeballs and Straws for decoration(OPTIONAL)
  10. Get 1 GLOVES (Optional as coloring from cake mix may rub off on hands when forming ball)

Turn the mixture out onto a piece of plastic wrap. Put the chocolate chips on a plate or in a shallow dish. Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and unwrap. This sweet version of a cheese ball will have you going back for more!

Instructions to make Blood Ball (Red Velvet Cheese Ball):
  1. In a mixer(or a large bowl) beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Add the cake mix, brown sugar and powdered sugar. Mix until smooth.
  3. Form into a ball( and place on serving platter. Top with chocolate chips and refrigerate for at least two hours.
  4. Place cookies or graham crackers around ball and serve.
  5. OPTIONAL: FOR HALLOWEEN YOU CAN PLACE EYEBALLS ON TOP OF THE BALL FOR DECORATION. I ALSO PLACED STRAWS IN THE BALL FOR "LEGS". THE RED FOOD COLORING CAN BE DROPPED ONTO A FEW COOKIES TO LOOK LIKE BLOOD SPLATTER. PLEASE REFERENCE THE COVER PHOTO. ENJOY!
