  2. Take 150 gm Onions (2 medium size onion) -
  3. Make ready 1 cup Spring onion finely chopped -
  4. Make ready 1 cup Coriander leaves finely chopped -
  5. Get 3 nos Green chili chopped and crushed slightly -
  6. Make ready 1/2 cup coconut Grated (optional) -
  7. Make ready to taste Salt -
  8. Make ready 1 cup Water -

Steps to make Akki Roti/Thalipeet/Rice Roti:
  1. Add the first seven ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Initially add most of the  water to the rice powder mixture and mix well to form a crumbly dough. Take a handful of dough and make a ball, if it holds the shape the dough is perfect. If it crumbles, add more water, if it is too soft add more rice powder.
  3. Take a fistful of dough and make  round balls.
  4. Smear a non stick saucepan/skillet/tava with 1 tsp oil. place one ballon the tava and flatten it with the palm of the hand  to form a thin round disc. (Moisten the palm with water if the the  dough sticks to your palm).  Make a hole in the center to allow the steam to escape.
  5. Cover with a lid and cook the roti  for one minute on medium flame. Remove the lid and cook for a couple of min. or until the edges start becoming crisp and golden brown and the akki roti looks moist.
  6. Remove from flame and place on a plate.
  7. Makes about 10 to 12 rotis
  8. Serve with kadlebele/split chickpeas chutney and a dollop of butter if you are not counting the calories!
