The ingredients needed to make Chicken Hot Pot with a twist:
  1. Get 2 large portions Chicken breast
  2. Get 2-3 cups whole meal pasta
  3. Prepare 4 large Carrots
  4. Take 3 Red Onions
  5. Prepare 2 tins Chickpeas
  6. Get 1 tin Chopped Tomatoes
  7. Take 2 bulbs of Garlic
  8. Make ready Handful Brussel Sprouts
  9. Take 1 litre hot water
  10. Get 4 Chicken Stock Cubes

Instructions to make Chicken Hot Pot with a twist:
  1. Peel and slice carrots into thin rounds, throw into a crock pot or large oven dish
  2. Peel and slice the Onions, add to pot
  3. Take off outside leaves from the Brussel Sprouts, cut into quarters add to pot
  4. Peel off outside skin from the Garlic, cut into small pieces then flatten on the cutting board with the flat of the knife. Add to pot
  5. Measure out the cups of Pasta, add to pot
  6. Cut the Chicken meat into spoon-size pieces, add to pot.
  7. Drain the chick peas, add to pot with the complete contents of the tin of Tomatoes
  8. Boil the kettle and make up 1 Litre (2 pints), of chicken stock with the cubes. Stir the contents of the pot well, and pour over the stock.
  9. Cook for about 2 hours on high heat in the crock pot, or medium- high in the oven for about 2 hours. Stir occasionally, to make sure the chicken gets cooked throughout the dish.
  10. Serve with slices of bread if required. (Can be frozen.) Enjoy!!
